Samantha Mata is graduating with a major in Paralegal Studies from the San Jacinto North Campus. Her favorite course was Immigration Law, which she found very interesting, as she learned about various types of Visas.
One lesson Mata will remember long after graduation is how professors strive to teach students what it’s truly like in a professional setting. Mata aspires to work as a paralegal in Criminal Law. Her interest in the law has motivated her to earn her degree, a passion that has been present since her high school years.
Mata offers two simple strategies for future graduates.
“Pay attention in class and always ask questions,” says Mata.
