Graduate Emiliano Plascencio
Question: What is your major/main campus?

Answer: Associate of Arts, with plans to transfer to UH Clear Lake. Central Campus.
Question: What are your future plans?
Answer: He wants to transfer and change his major to criminology. With that, he will pursue an internship with Houston forensics Center downtown. He knows it’s going to be competitive but is confident and ready for the challenge.
Question: Did you have a favorite professor?
Answer: Yes, one of his first, Mrs. Bible who is a professor of U.S. History here at San Jac. She really helped him out a lot during his first few semesters.
Question: Why did you choose San Jacinto College?
Answer: Like most of us, he said he didn’t really have the luxury of starting out at a major university. But his Highschool, Sam Rayburn which is partnered with San Jac, offered the “promise pledge program”. This gave him up to 3 years of guaranteed tuition and tuition assistance upon taking the promise pledge and becoming a Harris County Promise Scholar. He happily took advantage of this and is now about to graduate to pursue his goals. Thank-you San Jac!
Graduate Jacquelyn Rock
Question: What is your major/main campus? 
Answer: Associates of applied science specializing in the MRI field. (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) The MRI program is only offered at the Central Campus.
Question: What are your future plans?
Answer: After graduating, she plans to work in a hospital to gain experience and then eventually go into travel work.
Question: Did you have a favorite professor?
Answer: When she started this program, she didn’t really have a huge medical background. So, she wants to give a big shoutout to her 3 favorite professors: Prof. Koester, Prof. Prado and Prof. Zermino.
They have helped her so much and now she is graduating! Thank-you!
Question: Why San Jac?
Answer: When she moved here, she was told by friends and family about how great San Jac is. Now, she can attest to that.
Graduate Natalie Robles
Question: What is your major/main campus?
Answer: Associates of applied science specializing in the MRI field. She lives closer to main campus, but, has to drive to Central for this program.
Question: What are your future plans after graduation?
This is a very challenging but rewarding career. So, her plan is to work in the medical center to advance her skills. Then, she will probably go back to school to get her bachelors in this field. For now, it’s one step at a time.
*Because she watched me interview Jacquelyn, she instead wanted to share a message to future students in her field*
“This journey is very challenging and there will be a lot of doubt. But, there are always going to be people that will help you, if you are willing to learn. This is a field where you are never going to stop learning. So, just be a sponge and watch people, learn from their mistakes and take all the advice you can get!”
Graduate Leslie Perez
Question: What is your major/Main Campus?
Answer: She is also getting an Associates of applied science in the MRI field. Central Campus. She also shared that she, along with Jaquelyn and Natalie, were apart of the first cohort of the direct program at San Jacinto college. This program focuses on medical imaging and is apparently only 4 semesters. (Jacquelyn mentioned the length as well) Question: What are your future plans?
Answer: First is graduating, then she plans to take her registry certification test. Then she hopes to get into Houston Methodist Hospital, fingers crossed.
Question: Any favorite professors?
Answer: She did want to give them all (the 3 named earlier) a big shoutout! She did have a favorite of the 3, but per her request I am leaving that out. (you will hear in the vid) Question: Why San Jac?
Answer: She chose San Jacinto College because of their outstanding imaging program! The hardest choice for her was between x-ray technician or mri technician, but we now know the answer to that. *She also had some words of wisdom for the next generation*
“Don’t give up, keep pursuing! It gets hard but you gotta just keep pushing through.”
