Jennifer Renovato, a Biology major graduating from the Central campus, says her time at San Jacinto College has shaped her both academically and personally in ways she’ll never forget. She explains that Biology II became one of her favorite classes because she loved getting to work with microscopes, do dissections, and actually see the organisms she was learning about, which helped her connect even more with her interest in medicine. A lesson she knows will stay with her is the importance of resilience and continuing to grow, even in the areas where she already felt strong. Jennifer is still figuring out her exact career path, but she knows she wants to make a difference in the lives of young children. She plans to become an EMT and hopes to volunteer around the world to gain experience and serve others. She credits supportive people around her, along with the helpful resources SJCD provides, for getting her through her program and keeping her motivated. Taking opportunities like dual enrollment and being involved in leadership really helped her stay focused on her goals and make the most out of her time at the college. For future graduates, Jennifer’s advice is to take every opportunity that comes your way, no matter how big or small, because each one helps you learn more, grow more, and prepare for what comes next.
