“My favorite course would be my speech course since it has allowed me to gain the skills in order to be able to speak in front of people with intelligence and knowledge.”
Bishop believes that some of the life lessons she has learned at SJCD would be time management skills and being more responsible when balancing life and school, and plans to use what she has learned to transfer to Texas State to continue studying science and to become a pediatrician.
Bishop thanks her mother and grandmother for their help in guiding her through this journey, as well as her friends and theatre community for their support. “ Future students, I say don’t give up. It is definitely worth the blood, sweat, and tears you will endure in the process, and the academic stress is real, but dreams can’t come true if you never see them through.
