The San Jac Ravens, San Jacinto College baseball team schedule is now posted. Home games are at SJCD- North campus’s baseball fields. The next home game is October 18 at 4 p.m.
“We have had, I believe, 31 former players make it to the Major League (MLB). We have had well over 100 get drafted by MLB teams,” says David Wood, San Jac Ravens baseball coach.
We’ve seen Astros, such as Andy Pettitte, come from San Jacinto College. The NJCAA D1 team have competed 26 times in the JOCO world series, have earned 5 national championships, and achieved National runner up 10 times.
“The team atmosphere has been great thus far. We have a hard-working group of kids who have been rallying around each other. It’s been a very productive Fall season and we are looking forward to a very competitive Spring season,” says Wood.
The great season is contributed to not only the players, but the coaches too.
“Coach Arrington and Coach Koehler have done a great job in their time here. The previous head coaches before coach Arrington also helped pave the way for where we are now. It’s an honor to be a part of such a great history here at San Jac,” says Wood.
