Ava Hernandez is a student majoring in Communications at San Jac. With the goal of transferring to the University of Houston to pursue a degree in journalism, she is passionate about writing and delving into difficult topics that help to inform the people. Hernandez aims to become an investigative journalist, finding fascinating stories that are relevant to today’s political and societal culture.  
 
Outside of school, Hernandez enjoys playing instruments and writing indie folk music, even performing in live shows around Houston. She also has two rabbits, Phillip and Seraphina, whom she cares for very deeply.
