San Jacinto College currently offers enrolled students access to a game room on campus. The game room includes video games, board games and a vending machine. This game room is for students to relax and meet up with peers in between classes. The game rooms are located at the Central, North and South campuses.
“All currently enrolled who have an updated student SJC ID. You can renew your SJC ID at the Welcome Center,” says Ginnette Ruelas a Student Engagement and Support Specialist.
Students need to have the mentioned requirements met to access the game room. The game room has a wide selection of board games and video games to choose from.
“All three game rooms have pool and ping-pong tables and game consoles. Each game room has different video games and board games that students can choose from,” says Ruelas.
The game room located at the Central campus is on the second floor of the Newton Student Center Room
C14.28. The game room includes billiards, Ping-Pong, foosball, air hockey, shuffleboard, PlayStation 4,
Nintendo Switch and Xbox 360.
The game room North campus is located on the second floor of the Student Center, Room N12.215. The game room includes billiards, Ping-Pong, foosball, cards, checkers, chess, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The game room at South Campus is on the first floor of the J.D. Bruce Student Center, Room S11.115. The game room includes billiards, Ping-Pong, shuffleboard, foosball, checkers, chess, Wii, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
All game rooms were built to provide San Jacinto College students a place to “study or hang out between classes,” says Ruelas.
