Tabbitha Ross, Student Reporter
Tabbitha Ross is a senior attending the University of Houston Clear Lake with a major in Communications and a minor in Professional Writing. Ross plans to utilize these skills by following a path in Public Relations.
Ross works as a Marketing and Catering Director for the Chick-fil-a Kemah location. She has worked there for 3 years, starting as just a team member, and continually moving up within 6 months. Ross handles all relations to schools, including catering for San Jac College, and other relations regarding catering and marketing.
As a young girl wanting to follow in the footsteps of her grandfather in engineering, she soon realized that she actually hated math. This quickly steered to a new career path leading her into the possibility of culinary arts. After much consideration and noting the stress on the body in this field she once again began her career search. The San Jac aptitude test was actually what peaked her interest in Public Relations and showed her that she would be most fitting in that path. In the future, Ross hopes to work in a private PR firm. She finds this most fitting, knowing the chaotic and large work load is thrilling and easy for her to navigate through.
Ross not only has a passion for the thrill and busy life of Public Relations, but is also an avid reader and big time gamer. Ross finds herself playing the addicting and difficult Nintendo games. As part of a large family, Ross is just one of six siblings. Upon graduation, Ross will accomplish her biggest achievement as the first person in her family to attend and finish college. Not only has her determination and drive pushed her to such success, but also living by the famous words to “Keep Moving Forward” as heard in the 2007 movie Meet The Robinsons. Tabbitha Ross is an exceptional student who looks forward to her bright future ahead.
