Honey Ortiz, Student Reporter
Honey is a Communications major at San Jacinto College with plans to transfer to the University of Houston, where she intends to earn her bachelor’s degree in strategic communication with a concentration in Public Relations. She is passionate about the world of media and public relations and hopes to pursue a long-term career as either a Public Relations Manager or a Social Media Director.
Driven by creativity, Honey aspires to help businesses and organizations share their stories, connect with their target audiences, and build strong, positive public images that contribute to long-term success. Her interest in writing and multimedia storytelling led her to pursue media writing this semester as a way to strengthen her skills and become more involved on campus.
Outside of school, Honey enjoys painting, drawing, watching TV shows, and listening to music. She is also an avid animal lover and has four pets: a Doberman named King, a Husky mix named Bentley, a Goldendoodle named Astro, and a bunny named Lola. A fun fact about Honey is that she loves the Marvel franchise and has recently begun collecting Funko Pops of her favorite film characters.
