April 6-30 – South Gallery presents Student Art and Design Exhibition
The South Campus Gallery presents 2026 Student Art & Design Exhibition, showcasing the creative work of South Campus students. The exhibition is open to the public Monday, April 6 through Thursday, April 30, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The reception and awards ceremony is Wednesday, April 29, from 2-4 p.m., featuring the announcement of Student Choice and Faculty/Staff Choice Awards at 3 p.m. Visitors are invited to view the work and vote for their favorite pieces before the reception. Free and open to the public. On view at South Gallery, Flickinger Fine Arts Center (S15.143).

The North Gallery showcases a group exhibition showcasing current photography student’s work. Exhibition on view through Thursday, April 9 at North Gallery, Grant Fine Arts Center (N1).
Through April 15 – Central Gallery presents “Una Patoja y una Chapina“
The Central Campus Gallery hosts an exhibition by featuring full-time art and design faculty member Diana Sofia-Estrada and her grandmother Marta Lidia Umaña-Matta de Wer. Together the artists explore matriarchal narratives and labor through fashion, animation, video, and sound. On view through Wednesday, April 15 at Central Gallery (C21.163).
April 16-19 – Central Theatre presents “Kentucky Cycle: Tall Tales and Fire in the Hole”
The Central Campus Theatre presents two gripping plays set in Appalachian Kentucky — one about a family’s fatal greed over land, the other about a grieving mother who leads miners toward justice. Presented at the Powell Arena Theatre (C13), Monday, April 16 through Sunday, April 19. Evening performances at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m. Tickets $10 at the door, $8 in advance (by April 15). Box office open Monday, April 13 Mon–Fri, 1:30 to 5 p.m.
April 18 – Flock to the Block
Join San Jacinto College for a free, family-friendly open house on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Central Campus Interactive Learning Center (C1). Enjoy games, bounce houses, and a chance to explore college programs and resources — plus get one-on-one help with your financial aid application. Free and open to all!
April 20 – Fleet Week VetConnect Day
San Jacinto College is hosting a free veteran employment and resource event on Monday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Central Campus LyondellBasell Center for Petrochemical, Energy, & Technology (C45).
April 24 – Spill the Beans networking event
Join the Center for Entrepreneurship for networking events held on the fourth Friday of each month at the Generation Park Campus. The program begins with light bites and networking from 8:30 to 9 a.m., followed by a presentation from 9 to 10 a.m. Attendees can connect with fellow professionals, exchange ideas and gain insights to grow their network.
