Amber M. Hill, Student Reporter

Amber Hill is an aspiring sports media journalist. Hill is a Communications major at Prairie View A&M University as well as San Jacinto Community College. Hill, a native Houstonian hopes to publish articles about black culture as she takes pride in being a black woman.

Hill has done work as a host with KPVU 91.3 at Prairie View A&M University and hosts her podcast “Felons and Friends” with the CC network interviewing and discussing the intricacies and struggles of people who have found themselves with a conviction, found on YouTube and TikTok.

When Hill is not exercising her extraordinary work ethics, hosting segments, drafting articles, and working hard on her podcast she likes to be outdoors playing golf, vacationing, and going shopping. Hill is an open-minded woman of color who approaches the San Jac Times with burning ambition and the strong determination needed for a good journalist. Hill tells herself despite trials and tribulations it is always important to stay true to yourself no matter how it looks to others. With that in mind, Hill puts in hard work to ensure her true self is healthy, smart, and shining through by reading self-help books, staying educated on critical issues of equality, and staying active. Adventure awaits for Hill and she is willing and ready to tackle any story with open arms.
