The College will be participating in the Sylvan Beach Festival Parade on Saturday, April 29, 2023. This year’s parade begins at 10 a.m. near the La Porte High School parking lot at Broadway and Fairmont Parkway in La Porte.

Make plans to join in the celebration by participating as a walker with our San Jac float, where you’ll get wave and cheer with the crowd, hand out candy and be a part of San Jac history as our beloved Raven, Poe, participates in its first community event. 

We are excited to be out in the community in one of our favorite volunteer traditions. A special edition “San Jacinto College Parade Crew” t-shirt will be given to all volunteers who participate in the parade.

If you are interested in participating, please note:

1. You must provide your own transportation to/from the parade meeting and unloading zones.
2. This is a volunteer opportunity only. Volunteers will not receive compensation for their time spent at the event.

San Jac faculty, staff, students and their friends and family are all welcome to join us as we show off our San Jac Raven pride, so spread the word and help us get a flock of San Jac Ravens together for this event!
