New Winter-Themed Event Ushers in Season, Closes Semester
Winter Wonderland will feature free snacks and entertainment, along with the opportunity to play games and win prizes.
The office of Student Engagement and Activities (SEA) on the San Jacinto College North Campus is hosting Winter Wonderland Dec. 5, a season-themed occasion aimed at helping students and faculty unwind from the long fall semester.
North Campus SEA Coordinator Brian Bui said she thinks the affair will be “really fun” adding, “We are going to have the college staff and different student organizations come together on campus to have an event aimed at bringing in the winter, eat some food, and socialize.”
Bui said some of the details are still in the works, but she confirmed attendees could expect snow cones, hot chocolate, and other free treats. SEA Specialist, Jennifer Cerda, said some signature features include a holiday card-making station, along with a variety of games where participants can win prizes.
Priscilla Rodriguez, a student in her final semester at San Jac said she is looking forward to attending the first-ever Winter Wonderland.
“I saw that was happening on a flyer I got from the Student Center, and I am super excited and down to have a good time. Especially now that I am gearing up for finals and group projects,” Rodriguez said. “Plus, who doesn’t like free snacks?”
Winter Wonderland is taking place at 10 a.m. on Dec. 5 in the Courtyard outside the Student Center (N12) on the North Campus.
