Next Installment of Leadership Series Coming Up
The office of Student Engagement and Activities on the Central Campus will host a workplace skills session Nov. 13.
The San Jacinto College community is invited to attend the latest installment of the Emerging Leaders workshop series, titled Professional and Leadership Skills in the Workplace, taking place Nov. 13 on the Central Campus.
Central Campus Student Engagement and Activities Specialist Amanda Garza, who helps organize the workshops, said attendees learn about networking, teamwork, and career preparation, and in the last four years, attendance grew 200 percent.
Furthermore, she added, they bring students together with faculty and staff from other campus organizations like the Veterans Center, Career Services, and iConnect Centers to create a “sense of community” at the College.
“We hope to build relationships with students,” Garza said, “and enhance their two-year college experience.”
Professional and Leadership Skills in the Workplace takes place Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. in Room 208 of the Student Center (C14) on the Central Campus. Further information is available at [email protected] or 281-476-1877.
