Students wearing the ‘Best Ugly Xmas Sweater’ are invited to stop by Room 200 of the Student Center (N12) anytime between classes on Dec. 2 for a chance to win a Chick-fil-A gift card.

As the fall semester draws to a close, nothing brings out the spirit of the season more than excessive holiday decorations, repetitive holiday music, and ugly holiday sweaters. This time of year is perfect for coming together with family, friends, coworkers, and peers to celebrate, and that is exactly how the San Jacinto College North Campus Pharmacy Technician program students plan to finish the semester.

Pharmacy Technician Program Director Irene Banuelos-Villatoro said she is putting together a special event just for the hard-working Pharmacy Tech students. She titled the celebration Ugly Sweater Fun, and she said she hopes the event will offer “fun, fellowship, food, and create a stress-free environment.”

Banuelos-Villatoro said Pharmacy Tech students are invited to stop by anytime between classes on Dec. 2 for the chance to win a Chick-fil-A gift card to the student sporting the “Best Ugly Xmas Sweater.” Therefore, she encourages all students to come dressed in their ugliest holiday best for a chance to win the prize.

Meanwhile, Banuelos-Villatoro, who expects at least 70 people to stop by, said the event is meant to reward Pharmacy Tech students for their efforts in a fun and different way.

“Our goal is to bring together all Pharmacy Technician students,” she said, “and enjoy the end of the semester.”

Ugly Sweater Fun will run from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Dec. 2 in Room 200 of the Student Center (N12) on the North Campus.
